SPICED Assessment

To score a whole deal against the six SPICED sections, with the stated evidence behind each and the gaps to close next.

Before you start: open the deal you want to qualify in Ask Jiminny — it works best on an opportunity with a discovery call and an active email thread.

Copy the text below and paste it into Ask Jiminny ā¬‡ļø

Assess this deal against the six SPICED sections — Situation, Problem, Impact, Compelling Event, Decision Process and Decision Criteria — using only what the buyer explicitly stated in the deal's emails and call summaries.

Structure the output as:

  • A table with a row per section: section name, coverage score, the stated evidence behind it, and the next question the rep should ask.

  • Score each section 0 (nothing stated), 5 (partial) or 10 (clearly established), marked šŸ”“, 🟔 or 🟢, plus a coverage total out of 60.

  • Any point where the buyer's position changed or two sources contradict each other, labelled "changed" or "conflict".

  • Finish with the three highest-priority actions to close the biggest gaps.

Ground every line in what was actually said and name the source. Quote emails directly with their date and subject, but paraphrase call content — you see call summaries and highlights, not transcripts. If a section was never discussed, score it 0 and say so; do not infer numbers, deadlines or stakeholders that nobody stated.
