Revenue Insights

Your CRM deals, accounts and contacts with every conversation your team has had on them — what each tab shows and how to use it.

Revenue Insights brings your CRM deals, accounts and contacts into Jiminny, together with every conversation your team has had on them. Use it to review your pipeline, prepare for an account call or catch up on a person without going back to the CRM. This article covers what you see in each tab and how to work with it.

What Revenue Insights shows

Each deal, account and contact is matched to the conversations Jiminny has captured with it:

  • Emails sent and received, linked through your CRM contacts

  • Video meetings

  • Voice calls

  • SMS (only for Jiminny Voice users)

Note: Emails only appear if the user who sent or received them has allowed Jiminny to access their mailbox. See Syncing Emails to Jiminny.

Your team's visibility settings apply here as everywhere else in Jiminny: a timeline only lists the calls and emails you have visibility of, and Ask Jiminny only draws on those. See Team visibility: controlling what each team can see.

Deals

The Deals tab lists the deals from your CRM with the activity on each one.

Which deals appear

A deal appears when it has:

  • An owner who is a Jiminny user. If the deal owner has no Jiminny account, the deal is not shown. Reassign it to a Jiminny user to bring it in.

  • A close date or a created date. By default deals are placed in time by close date. If your CRM does not use that field, switch to created date in Settings.

Reviewing your pipeline

Switch between Open Deals, Closed Won and Closed Lost, and choose the period you want to look at, for example this month or last quarter.

Each row shows the deal's owner, its account, the activity timeline for the past months and any risks raised against it. For how risks are calculated and how to adjust them per team, see Setting up Deal Risks for your team.

Opening a deal

Select a deal to open it in a side panel without leaving the list. For each deal you will see:

  • Timeline — every email, meeting and call on the deal, in date order.

  • Ask Jiminny — answers across all of the deal's conversations, for example what objections came up or what was agreed as next steps. See Ask Jiminny on a deal.

  • Details — the deal's CRM fields. Edits are saved straight back to your CRM.

  • Contacts — the people on the customer's side who have been on a conversation for this deal, so you can check whether the right people are involved.

  • Comments — notes for your team about the deal.

Following a deal

Select Follow on a deal to receive a daily email about it. The email is sent at 7am in the time zone set in your profile, and only when something new has happened: a new risk, a new email, or a new call or meeting with its summary.

Accounts

The Accounts tab lets you see the whole relationship with a customer rather than one deal at a time. This is where conversations that are not attached to any deal become visible, which for many customer success and account management teams is most of them.

Which accounts appear

The list shows the accounts your team has actually had a conversation with, by email or call. Accounts that exist in your CRM but have no conversation in Jiminny are not listed, so old and inactive records do not get in the way.

Each row shows the account, its owner, when you last spoke to them, their industry and how many deals are open. Search by account name, and sort by Last activity to bring the accounts you have not spoken to recently to the bottom.

Note: An account whose CRM owner is not a Jiminny user is visible to everyone in your organisation. Its conversations still follow your team visibility settings.

Opening an account

Select an account to open its page and see:

  • Timeline — every conversation with the account, across all of its deals and those attached to none, each labelled with the deal it belongs to. Use the date navigation to move through the history; the default range is set in Settings.

  • Ask Jiminny — answers about the whole relationship, including conversations that belong to no deal, for example how the account feels about the product or what has been promised to them. See Ask Jiminny on account.

  • Details — the account's CRM fields, editable where your CRM allows it.

  • Contacts — the people at the account your team has spoken to.

  • Deals — the account's open and closed deals, which you can open from here.

Contacts

[Coming soon]

The Contacts tab will list the people at your customers that your team has spoken to, with their account, job title, phone number and when they were last contacted. As with accounts, contacts that exist in your CRM but have never been on a conversation are not listed. Each contact will have a page with their conversation Timeline and CRM Details.

Settings

Admins can open Settings at the top right of each tab. Changes apply to everyone in your organisation. In there you can set:

  • Close date or created date — Deals only. Which date places a deal in a time period; switch to created date if your CRM does not use close dates.

  • Timeline range — how much history a deal, account or contact page loads by default: 1, 3 or 6 months.

  • Columns — which CRM fields appear as columns in the list and in Details on the record page. Set separately for Deals, Accounts and Contacts. Columns Jiminny calculates itself, such as last activity, cannot be removed.

For step-by-step instructions, see Manage CRM fields in Revenue Insights.

FAQ

1. Can I see all the accounts in my CRM, not only the ones we have spoken to?

No. Revenue Insights only lists records with at least one conversation in Jiminny.

2. Why does a colleague see more conversations on an account than I do?

Timelines follow your team visibility settings. You only see the calls and emails you have visibility of.

3. A deal is in my CRM but not in the Deals tab. Why?

Check that the deal owner is a Jiminny user and that the deal has a close date, or that Settings is set to created date.
