Mismatch Between Marketing and Customer Perception

To find where one customer's stated expectation differed from what they found, and what gave them that expectation.

Before you start: open the call you want to analyse and run Ask Jiminny on it.

Copy the text below and paste it into Ask Jiminny ⬇️

Identify any point in this call where what the customer expected of us differed from what they found, and what gave them that expectation.

Structure the output as:

  • The expectation, quoted verbatim with the timestamp

  • What they said they actually found instead

  • Where the expectation came from, if they say — the website, an ad, a demo

  • What they said or asked next, in their own words

  • Finish with the gap marketing or product would most want to close

Only report a mismatch the customer themselves put into words, and name the speaker and timestamp for each one. Do not read frustration or disappointment into neutral wording, and if nothing in the call points to a gap, say there is no mismatch here rather than manufacturing one. This is one conversation — to see whether a mismatch recurs across buyers, run the same question as a Panorama prompt over filtered calls.
