Installing the Jiminny App

All you need to do here is have a Jiminny instance which the Jiminny Owner has connected to your Hubspot account. This will automatically mark the app as installed in the Hubspot Marketplace and we will start syncing the data between the two platforms.

Note: In rare cases the Jiminny Owner's Hubspot account gets disconnected. When this happens they will receive an email and will need to open Jiminny and restore the connection. Until this is done the Jiminny HubSpot app will appear as 'Uninstalled' in the Marketplace. Don't attempt to install it from there. This can only happen by the Owner inside Jiminny.

Accessing your Jiminny call insights inside Hubspot

Hubspot have launched a new functionality in Beta which allows us to build custom cards based on our customers' needs. The first one we did will allow you to access your Jiminny call insights directly in Hubspot and here is how you can set it up:

  1. Navigate to Deals/Companies/Contacts in Hubspot

  2. Chose a deal/company/contact of your preference

  3. Click on Customize Record. If you don’t see this option, confirm your permissions with your HubSpot Administrator.

  4. Choose the view where you would like to see this new card. Typically, there is one Default view, but you may have additional options.

  5. Optional - We recommend adding a new Jiminny tab where the card can be placed afterward. As we will be making additional cards, this will help keep them consolidated in one place.

  6. Select a tab and add the card by clicking on Add Cards.

  7. A new view will be displayed where you can search and find Jiminny Activities.

  8. Choose Jiminny Activities and save the changes.

The new Jiminny tab will now appear next to Overview and Activities for all Deals/Companies/Contacts.

Note: You will need to do these steps for Deals, Companies and Contact separately if you want to see the Jiminny data in each Hubspot object.

You are all set! Now you can utilise Jiminny inside Hubspot.

Just click on 'View call' for any meeting and this will open our call page directly in Hubspot where you can play the recording or use Ask Jiminny to get the insights that you need.

Note: The page that opens is a reflection of Jiminny's call page. In order to load it needs the viewer to be logged in Jiminny. If they are not logged in then the Jiminny login screen will be loaded instead and once they login they will be able to continue browsing.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

1. Do I need to have Jiminny account in order to see the Jiminny activity insights in Hubspot?

Yes. All the information is loaded from Jiminny each time the Jiminny Activities card is loaded on the page. The information that will load will be based on your account permissions and access in Jiminny.

2. Will the Jiminny app consume any storage space in Hubspot?

No. All the information is loaded from Jiminny each time the Jiminny Activities card is loaded on the page, which means nothing is stored in Hubspot.

3. Which browsers are supported by the by the Jiminny Activities view?

The list of activities and their summaries and action items can be seen in any browser. However if you want to access the activity view by 'View call' then we advise using Chrome browser.

Safari and Firefox have cookie settings that are preventing the page to load as expected. If you want to use any of these browsers then you will need to change your cookie setting.

Firefox - changing browser's cookie settings from "Standard" to "Custom" and allowing cross-site tracking cookies resolves the issue.

Safari - adjust the browser settings by unchecking "Prevent cross-site tracking" under Website Tracking.

4. What does it mean if I see 'Account not found' in the Jiminny Activities card?

This means that either you don't have a Jiminny account or we couldn't find it.

If you don't have one then reach out to your manager.

If you have one then there might be an issue with it - please contact our support team.
