The Jiminny mobile app now includes an exciting feature that allows users to record in-person meetings directly from their phones. This guide provides a step-by-step process for utilizing this feature, ensuring you can capture and save important conversations with ease.

How to Record Meetings on the Jiminny Mobile App

  1. Open the App: Launch the Jiminny app.

  2. Start Recording: Tap the microphone icon at the top right and then tap "START" to begin recording.

  3. Manage Recording: Pause and resume the recording using the on-screen controls as needed.

  4. Stop and Save: Once the meeting ends, stop the recording, name it, select your language and save it. The recording will be uploaded to Jiminny for analysis and transcription.

Q: Can I record without scheduling a meeting?

A: Yes, you can start a spontaneous recording anytime using the microphone icon.

Q: What happens if my internet connection is unstable?

A: The recording is stored on your device and will be uploaded once a stable connection is available.

Q: Can I minimize the app while recording?

A: Yes, minimizing the app will not interfere with the recording, but do not terminate the app.

Q: What if I accidentally close the app during recording?

A: The recording will not be deleted and will remain stored on your device. You can resume the upload when you reopen the app.

Q: How are speakers identified in the transcription?

A: Participants will be labeled as Speaker 1,Speaker 2... You can select the host when uploading the call. When the meeting is over and processed you can assign participants through the Jiminny Web platform. Find the meeting and go to Transcript tab > Right button with the arrows > Assign speakers. Start typing the name of the participants - if they are a Jiminny user the name will appear automatically, if they are a customer you will need to type their whole name and save your changes.

Q: Can I change the language of the transcription?

A: Yes, the default language is based on the host's settings, but it can be changed before uploading.

Q: What if the app crashes during a recording?

A: The recording is saved locally and will be available when you reopen the app. You can resume the upload process from where it left off.
