AI Summaries & Action Items

How AI summaries and action items work, where to find them, and how to send them to your CRM.

What are summaries?

Every recorded call gets a summary, generated automatically from the transcript. It opens with a sentence or two stating what the call was and how it ended, followed by short sections covering the detail.

The structure adapts to the conversation. Sections appear only when the call actually contained that content, drawn from a fixed set:

  • Goals & needs — what participants said they are trying to achieve

  • Issues & resolutions — problems raised, and whether they were resolved or are being investigated

  • Highlights — key facts from the call, such as team size, timelines, or pricing discussed

  • Concerns & objections — concerns raised, attributed to the person who raised them

  • Requests — things a participant asked for that are still open

  • Outcome & next steps — decisions made and what happens next

A discovery call might surface goals, needs, and objections, while an onboarding call captures highlights, requests, and next steps. A short call may be summarized in a few sentences with no sections at all.

Summaries report what was said on the call, with points attributed to the person who said them. They do not add opinions or assessments.

Note: The adaptive format applies to calls recorded after August 27, 2026. Calls recorded before that date keep their original summaries.

Where to find them

Open a call and select the Flashback tab. The summary appears under Summary, alongside Action items and Key points.

Summaries are generated automatically for every call — there is nothing to set up and no templates to configure. They are written in the language spoken on the call, including the section headers, and are available in all transcription languages.

What are action items?

Action items are a list of tasks from the meeting, generated automatically to help progress the conversation. You can find them in the Flashback tab, next to the summary.

Sending summaries and action items to your CRM

You can log the summary and action items to your CRM automatically. This is available for Salesforce, HubSpot, and Zoho.

To turn it on, go to Settings > CRM Activity Logging > Company-wide and toggle on Send activity summary to the CRM.

If your organization uses manual or automated call logging, Jiminny waits for the task or event to be created and attaches the summary and action items to it as a note.
