Playlists let you organize your calls and clips into collections for coaching, onboarding and enablement — your best pitches, objection handling, competitor mentions or anything else worth sharing. This article covers how playlists are structured, how to add calls and clips (individually or in bulk), and how sharing and permissions work.
How Playlists are structured
Playlists have three tiers: Playlist, Folder and Subfolder. Calls and clips (tracks) can sit in playlists and folders; subfolders hold tracks only.
Playlists and folders are ordered alphabetically by default, and folders and subfolders by the date they were added. You can drag and drop tracks and folders into whatever order works for you.
Your Favorites playlist
Every user has a personal Favorites playlist. Add a call to it from the Call page using the favorite button in the top-right corner. Only you can edit or share your Favorites.
Creating a Playlist
Create as many playlists as you want — keep them for your own reference or share them with teammates. You can add a call or clip to several playlists at once, and playlists can be built from the web app, Sidekick or the mobile app.
Adding calls to a Playlist
A single call — on the Call page, click the playlist icon and choose the playlist to add it to. Or hover over the call in On Demand and add it to a playlist with the quick action on the right.
Multiple calls at once — in On Demand, switch to bulk editing and check the calls you want. Then click the add to playlist icon and choose the playlist.
A clip — click and drag on the recording to select just the part you want, then click the playlist icon. This way your playlist points people at the exact moment, not a 45-minute call.
Sharing and locking a Playlist
You can share a playlist with individual teammates or whole teams — anyone in your organization with access to Jiminny. Folders and subfolders cannot be shared on their own; sharing happens at the playlist level.
As the Owner, you can lock a playlist. Locking prevents changes to its content and any further sharing until you unlock it, and applies to everything inside — folders, subfolders and tracks cannot be unlocked individually.
Who can do what
Anyone a playlist is shared with can add calls and clips to it, as long as it is unlocked.
Only the Owner can delete a playlist, or delete folders and subfolders within it.
If you remove a track from a shared playlist, the recording itself is not deleted — it remains available in On Demand.
If a playlist was shared with you individually, you can select Delete to remove it from your view — it stays intact for the Owner and everyone else.
Playlists shared with your whole team or organization cannot be removed from view.
Use cases
Onboarding: day-one training material — new reps hear real calls and what good looks like before their first meeting.
Sales messaging: your slickest pitches in one Greatest Hits playlist.
Objection handling and competitors: collect the best responses, with a folder or subfolder per competitor — useful for Sales and for Marketing campaigns alike.
Team coaching: share an empty playlist on a theme at the start of the week, have reps add their clips, and review together on Friday.
Product and Marketing insight: curate the voice of the customer — feature requests and feedback straight from real conversations.
121s: reps bring clips of their own calls to their weekly 121 for review.
