Jiminny can automatically create a contact in Salesforce or HubSpot for external participants who join your meetings but aren't in your CRM yet — so every stakeholder your team meets ends up in your CRM, without manual data entry after calls.
Turning on contact creation
Go to Settings → CRM Activity Logging.
On the Company-wide tab, switch on Automatically create contacts from meetings.
Optionally, exclude teams or users. No contacts are created from excluded members' meetings — useful for leadership, legal or recruiting, whose meetings shouldn't produce CRM records.
When contacts are created
Once a meeting ends, Jiminny checks each external participant against your CRM by email address. A contact is created only when all of the following are true:
The call is a customer-facing meeting — dialer calls and internal meetings never create contacts.
The meeting owner has CRM access.
The participant joined the meeting — invitees who didn't attend are never added.
They have an email address. Participants without one are skipped.
Their email address doesn't match an existing contact or lead in your CRM. If it matches either, nothing new is created — existing records are never duplicated.
Note: Meetings imported from a previous conversation intelligence provider never create contacts.
What each contact contains
Each contact is created with the participant's first name, last name and email address. The name comes from the participant's calendar or meeting display name; if no usable name is available, it is derived from their email address. Once the contact exists, Jiminny logs the call against it and your CRM Filling automations run against the new record.
To fill in further fields, such as job title or seniority, use AI CRM Filling — contact creation creates the record, and CRM Filling enriches it.
Where contacts appear in your CRM
Salesforce
Contacts are created under the Account matched to the meeting. If more than one Account matches, Jiminny uses the one owned by the meeting host. If the meeting has a matched Opportunity, the new contact is also added as a Contact Role on it.
Note: If no Salesforce Account matches the meeting, no contact is created — Salesforce contacts always need an Account. If your Salesforce organisation has required custom fields or validation rules on contacts, creation may not be possible.
HubSpot
Contacts are created even when no company matches the meeting. When the meeting is matched to a company or deal, the new contact is associated with them; otherwise the contact is created on its own.
FAQ
1. Why wasn't a contact created after my meeting?
The most common reasons: the person already exists in your CRM as a contact or lead, they had no email address, they didn't actually join the meeting, the meeting owner or their team is excluded in the settings, or — in Salesforce — no Account matched the meeting.
2. Can Jiminny create leads instead of contacts?
Not currently — Jiminny creates contacts only. If a participant's email matches an existing lead, no contact is created, so your lead process is never disrupted.
3. Can I edit or delete a contact Jiminny created?
Yes. Once created, it is a normal record in your CRM — you can edit, reassign, merge or delete it like any other contact.
4. Does this work with other CRMs?
Contact creation is available for Salesforce and HubSpot.
