Overview

Jiminny supports Single Sign-On (SSO) to provide our users with a seamless and secure login experience. In addition to using Google or Office 365 for authentication, we support the SAML2 protocol, enabling integration with various SSO providers.

Supported SSO Providers

Jiminny is compatible with popular SSO providers, including:

  • Okta

  • Azure Active Directory

  • And more… contact your CSM to check if your provider is supported.

Using SSO with these providers allows you to centralize and streamline user authentication, enhancing security and simplifying the login process.

Setting up SSO with Jiminny - Microsoft Azure

Please follow our guide for Azure.

Setting up SSO with Jiminny - Okta

To get started please request the URLs for the SSO setup from your dedicated Jiminny Customer Success Manager.

1. Create a New Application in Okta:

  • Log in to your Okta Admin console.

  • Navigate to Applications > Applications > Add Application and choose Create New App.

  • Select SAML 2.0 as the sign-on method.

2. Configure SAML Settings:

  • In the General Settings, name the application "Jiminny."

  • In SAML Settings, fill out the Single Sign-On URL and Identifier (Entity ID) with the URLs (Reply URL, Sign-on URL, Logout URL) provided by Jiminny.

3. Download the Metadata and securely share it with Jiminny

  • Once the app is created, download the Identity Provider Metadata XML file from Okta and provide Jiminny with the downloaded Identity Provider Metadata XML file

4. Finalize Configuration:

  • Jiminny will use the information provided to complete the setup on their end. They may associate your team with the SSO tenant and ensure everything is correctly configured.

Benefits of Using SSO

  • Enhanced Security: SSO reduces the need for multiple passwords, lowering the risk of password-related breaches.

  • Improved User Experience: Users can access Jiminny using their existing SSO credentials, eliminating the need for separate login details.

  • Simplified Management: Centralized authentication simplifies user management and access control for IT administrators.

For more information or to start the SSO setup process, please contact your Jiminny Customer Success Manager.
